  • Leading. Growth. Inspiration.

  • Teaching Statement

I prioritize making every student feels seen, heard, and like an important member of the class. These factors exponentially improve student engagement, allowing for a comfortable and productive learning environment. I make sure to pay attention to the energy of all my classes and the state of their bodies in case I need to alter lesson plans for the well-being of students and their health. In general, I have a natural desire to lead and am very comfortable with commanding a room. I take pride in being able to make a class feel safe as I always come prepared, ensuring the students that they can trust me as a disciplinary figure, all while maintaining a fun classroom environment. I enjoy utilizing interpersonal learning, where students can gain knowledge by interacting with their peers and providing feedback for one another. My goal for every class is to leave my students with a greater sense of their artistry, their voice, and their confidence. There is beauty in the community of dancers if we allow room for authenticity and individualistic growth. Every artist is on their own path, and I am grateful help those who are still discovering and finding where they want to go.
